If this is your first time visiting Boiling Frog Friday and you are appalled at such a title, I urge you to check out Boiling Frog Friday #1 here. It will prove to you that I’m not boiling frogs on Friday, but instead sharing with you what tips, tools, and methods you could use to better your life each day. Over the last year, I’ve gone on a mission to better myself, and have procured quite the list of books, concepts, and people that have helped shaped my growth. Each Friday I’ll be back to hit you with another gem from my experience.
Today’s edition of Boiling Frog Friday is dedicated to…The Art of Charm podcast.
I’ve really gotten into podcasts this year, but this one was a latecomer for me. With the title “Art of Charm”, I didn’t give it much thought when scrolling through top podcasts. I thought, “I’m married, I had enough charm to land my lady. I think I’m good.” Then I moved onto the next podcast that could hold my attention.
One of those podcasts that held my attention was the Order of Man podcast. In one of the episodes, they were interviewing this guy named Jordan Harbinger. Never heard of him, but why not give it a shot? As it turns out, Jordan is the host of the Art of Charm. After listening to him explain what the Art of Charm was actually all about-relationships, networking, communication-I scrolled back up to the Art of Charm on my podcast app and dove in.
I’ve been hooked ever since. Jordan’s interviewing skills are incredible. He does a great job of extracting quality information from everyone he talks to, while at the same time peeling back the complex layers for the casual listener (i.e. myself).
Not every episode is in an interview format, though. Each Monday there is a “minisode” between 5-10 minutes. These episodes provide a simple reminder or tip to set you on fire for the week. They also do a Fanmail Friday episode each week, where Jordan and his team respond to emails from listeners that need guidance.
The best episodes are the AoC toolbox episodes. During these episodes, Jordan and his team at the Art of Charm take realistic problems and provide concrete steps to finding success with them. These topics have included moving to a new city and starting a new social circle, how to amicably end a relationship, and more.
In every single episode, there is incredible value. What’s amazing is that there are over 500 episodes to choose from in their library. If you start listening today, you won’t run out of great content any time soon.
I highly recommend Jordan and the gang over at the Art of Charm. I think that you will be impressed by their content and the sheer amount of it that there is. Below is a few episodes that I have personally enjoyed:
Episode 574 with Sally Hogshead: How to Fascinate (this is from this week, it was awesome!)
Until next time,
